According to the women in business statistics presented by the 2017 State of Women-Owned Businesses Report by American Express, more than 11.6 million women-owned businesses generate $1.7 trillion dollars in sales. The world of women-owned businesses is diverse, with minority women owning 46% of the businesses and growing their number of firms by 467% between 1997 and 2017.
