Cruise Planners franchise owners, Tammy and Scott Simpson recently had the opportunity to attend Disney’s highly anticipated D23 event, where they were among the first to witness some of the most exciting announcements from Disney. As avid Disney fans and seasoned travelers, the Simpsons were thrilled to share their experiences and insights from the event, which promises to bring even more enchantment and adventure to Disney Cruise Line and Disney Parks.

Disney Cruise Line: A Fleet Set to Expand

One of the most exciting announcements at D23 was the expansion of the Disney Cruise Line fleet. Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, revealed that four new ships will join the already award-winning fleet, with deliveries scheduled between 2027-2031. This expansion will bring the total number of ships to 13, allowing even more families to experience the magic of Disney at sea.

Tammy and Scott couldn’t contain their excitement as they learned about the all-new Broadway-style stage show, “Disney Hercules,” set to debut on the Disney Destiny. This promises to be a spectacular addition to the cruise’s entertainment offerings. Additionally, “Disney The Tale of Moana” will bring the beloved story of Moana to life onboard the Disney Treasure, featuring an incredible 15-foot-tall puppet of Te Kā, the largest ever created for a Disney Cruise Line show.

Disneyland Resort: A World of New Adventures

D23 also brought thrilling news for Disneyland Resort, where several new attractions and experiences were announced. One of the most anticipated reveals was the upcoming Pandora-themed destination by “Avatar: The Way of the Water” and other Avatar films. This immersive area at Disney California Adventure Park will allow guests to explore the beauty and dangers of Pandora like never before.

The Simpsons were particularly excited about the first-ever “Coco” attraction, which will take guests on a journey to the Land of the Dead with Miguel and his friends. Set to open in 2026, this attraction will bring music and magic of the beloved film to life in a way only Disney can.

Superhero fans will be delighted to hear that Avengers Campus at Disneyland will double in size with two new attractions: Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab. Both are set to break ground next year, offering even more thrilling adventures for guests.

Disney World Resort: Magic Kingdom’s Grand Expansion

Over at Walt Disney World, the announcements were equally groundbreaking. The Magic Kingdom is set to undergo its largest expansion ever, with the introduction of Cars Land and Villains Land. Cars Land will transport guests to the world of Radiator Springs with two new attractions, while Villains Land will bring Disney’s most notorious baddies to life in an all-new themed area.

Tammy and Scott were especially intrigued by the new nighttime parade, Disney Starlight, which will light up Main Street, U.S.A in the summer of 2025. This parade promises to blend classic Disney nostalgia with cutting-edge technology, featuring characters from Peter Pan, Frozen, Encanto, and more.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios: New Worlds to Explore

Disney’s Animal Kingdom will soon be home to Tropical Americas, a reimagining of the existing DINOLAND, U.S.A. This new land will feature attractions inspired by “Encanto” and “Indiana Jones,” allowing guests to embark on thrilling new adventures.

Meanwhile, over at Hollywood Studios, the all-new Monsters, Inc. Land will welcome guests to the world of Monstropolis. With a suspended coaster as its signature attraction, this vibrant land is sure to be a hit with both kids and adults alike.

EPCOT: A Futuristic Makeover

EPCOT is also getting some exciting updates, with a reimagined Test Track set to reopen in 2025. In collaboration with Chevrolet, this attraction will push the boundaries of innovation and provide guests with a thrilling ride experience. Additionally, a new lounge inspired by Spaceship Earth will offer a relaxing and immersive space for visitors to unwind.

As Tammy and Scott Simpson reflect on their time at D23, they can’t help but feel a renewed sense of excitement for the future of Disney. Whether it’s the expansion of the Disney Cruise Line, the thrilling new attractions at Disneyland and Disney World, or the innovative updates coming to EPCOT, there’s no doubt that Disney continues to create magic for fans of all ages. The Simpsons are eager to share these updates with their fellow travelers and help them plan unforgettable Disney experiences in the years to come.
