CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. Jan. 19 - When it comes to destination experience all over the world, Cruise Planners travel advisors have an abundance of tips and recommendations to share. That’s why Cruise Planners award-winning technology team created Destination Hub, a new directory platform in the company’s proprietary engine, CP Central, that enables agents to search, view and submit business recommendations for destinations all around the world. Agents can submit and view recommendations for numerous business types, including:
Destination Hub is designed for agents to leave written reviews, star ratings, and photos of their experience with businesses they or their clients have visited.
“For years, our advisors have been utilizing our Facebook page as a space to ask for recommendations and advice, and we saw an opportunity to streamline the process,” said Brian Shultz, Chief Information Officer at Cruise Planners. “This is an evergreen library that will continue to grow into a one-stop shop for peer-driven reviews, and we are confident it will be a useful resource for both new and experienced advisors.”
Business listings in Destination Hub can be filtered by geographical location (destination), business name, business type, businesses they have favorited, and businesses they have recommended. Agents can favorite a business that will be added to their “My Favorite” list within the platform. This allows agents to easily navigate to their favorite businesses with a click of a button. On the flip side, agents can also add to the recommendation list by submitting a recommendation, adding details such as budget type, recommendation description, family-friendly, romantic ratings, upload images and URLs.
“The Destination Hub is such a great addition to the Cruise Planners artillery of tools,” said Anita O’Donnell, a franchisee who was a part of the focus group for this application. “When travel advisors consider hotels, restaurants and the like, we are evaluating not just our personal experience, but how our clients may be impacted too. So, the Destination Hub puts all of that expertise as well as our unique perspective, into one spot. It helps us to continue to provide the best service and advice to our clients.”
“One of the hallmarks of what makes our organization unique is the willingness of our advisors to collaborate and share information,” said Michelle Fee, CEO and founder of Cruise Planners. “We could see our advisors had so much insight to share, and our technology team got to work creating a space where it could be organized and easily accessed for a robust library available to our franchisees.”
