Every year on January 29, we take a moment to pause and reflect on how far we’ve come — and what continues to connect us as a community.
For more than 30 years, this journey has been shaped by shared values, strong relationships, and a people-first approach to building travel businesses. What started in Coral Springs, Florida has grown into a nationwide network of independent travel advisors, all connected by a common passion for travel and entrepreneurship.
Cruise Planners Day isn’t just about celebrating a milestone. It’s about recognizing the path that brought us here, the people who made it possible, and the sense of connection that continues to define this community.
January 29 became meaningful in 2019, when the Broward County Commission officially recognized the company’s 25th anniversary and its impact on the local economy and tourism industry. What began as a moment of recognition has since grown into an annual tradition.
For more than three decades, South Florida has been home base. Since those early days, the community has expanded into a network of more than 3,000 independent travel franchise owners across the country. While the reach is national, the roots have always remained personal.
This day serves as a reminder that growth doesn’t have to come at the expense of connection.
At its core, this day is about people.
It’s about franchise owners who decided to build travel businesses alongside full-time jobs, families, and other responsibilities. It’s about advisors who help travelers plan meaningful experiences, whether that’s a long-awaited cruise, a milestone celebration, or a dream vacation years in the making.
It’s also about the home office team that supports franchise owners behind the scenes. From guidance and education to systems and supplier relationships, that support helps advisors move forward with confidence.
And then there’s the culture. Around here, it’s called Cruisitude , a positive, collaborative mindset that shows up in how people support one another and why this community feels different.
From the beginning, the focus has been on creating systems that help advisors spend less time managing logistics and more time building relationships with clients.
Over the years, tools and processes have continued to evolve to support day-to-day travel planning while fitting into real-life schedules. The goal has never been complexity for its own sake, but practicality makes it easier to stay organized and work efficiently as businesses grow.
That balance allows advisors to focus on service and connection, knowing there’s a structure in place to support them along the way.
This day is also a chance to reflect on the impact that extends beyond travel planning.
Through the CP Cares charitable program, more than $2 million has been raised for causes that support local and national communities, including long-standing partnerships with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Giving back isn’t treated as a side effort; it’s part of how success is defined.
There’s also a continued commitment to diversity and inclusion, both within the travel industry and the broader community. Supporting people, creating opportunities, and fostering belonging guides how this community shows up.
Cruise Planners Day highlights the strength of a community built steadily over time through shared experience, consistency, and support.
Rather than emphasizing rapid expansion or one-size-fits-all growth, the focus has always been on flexibility, collaboration, and learning. This people-first mindset is part of what defines the Cruise Planners community and continues to shape how advisors support one another as they grow their businesses.
For many franchise owners, that sense of connection is what makes the experience meaningful. It’s what turns independent advisors into a network that grows together year after year.
Cruise Planners Day is more than an annual celebration. It is a reflection of our values, our people, and our future.
It represents a company that believes in innovation without losing its human touch, in growth without losing community, and in creating opportunity through support and shared success.
To our franchise owners, home office team, partners, and travelers, thank you for being part of this journey. We are proud of what we have built together and excited for what comes next.
Happy Cruise Planners Day.
